March 2009

It's been another busy month with the Ruffshaad crew. We have another new Champion, Bug finished her championship in Belleville, IL with a 4 point major under judge Lester Mapes! Shelby also received a group 3 at Belleville under Bob Shreve! We also attended our specialty in Louisville, KY this year for first time in our career and had an amazing weekend! Our guys did something every day. Shelby won the breed over a huge entry on Friday! Butler took Reserve Winners Dog one day, Shelby received 2 Award of Merits, Bug also received an Award of Merit as well as Best of Opposite Sex. All of Shelby's winnings have placed her in the top 5 Breed and we are going to try our hardest to keep her there. We have some big shows coming up and the prospects look good. We will keep you posted!

February 2009
Well, we have been behind on updating the site, a lot going on. We have Ronnie here again as we are repeating the breeding that we got Cooper from. Also, Cooper's first points event is just around the corner. Hard to believe that she is 5 months already! Time flies....Anyways, we went to two separate puppy matches the weekend of February 15th. Saturday the 14th in Waukesha, WI Cooper took a group 1! Sunday, February 16th, Cooper won Best Puppy in Match. We are so proud of the way she is showing and cannot wait to show her at our Club supported Kentuckiana in March.

Butler, our house guest

This is Butler who we are taking care of for Debbie Takayama for a few months. He is going to live with her after his quarantine is up. He is a very sweet boy and we are over joyed to be able to help as we are!

Our show in Chicago the weekend of December 13th and 14th was another success! Saturday Bug won the class for 1 point which leaves her with 2 until she is finished!

Sunday was the big day for us, Shelby won the breed. Thanks so much to Karen Toland for helping me by handling Shelby on Saturday and Sunday in the breed ring, I couln't have done the show without her help! Shelby also received her first and our first group placement with a Group 3 on Sunday!! We are so humbled and honored to have achieved this, hopefully there are more to come!
We are hopefully going to be in the ring again in January as we are going to continue on with Shelby, and we plan to finish and continue on with Bug. I will keep posting as things unfold!

New Champion!

We are pleased to have our second Champion!! Our first boy Hemi finished Saturday, December 6th at the Belleville, IL show! He went Best Opposite and Best of Winners for a 4 point major to finish his championship!

We are so blessed to have two finished champions, Shelby and Hemi, as we have only just started our show careers. Shelby and Hemi both finished in just over 6 months and just a hand full of shows. We are so proud of our guys and the work we have done!

We are showing in Chicago the weekend of December 13th with the hopes that we will get Bug a couple of points closer to her championship!

We were overwhelmed with the wonderful comments about Cooper from not only professional handlers, but also judges this past weekend. We realize what a special girl we have on our hands with her and cannot wait to get her out in the ring!

Also, congratulations to Miles owned by Meghan Barnes of Megha Mini Bulls for taking a big breed win on Friday!! And to a member of our Bully family, CH.
